Just a short bus ride from Akakura Onsen village is Ikenotaira Onsen Ski resort. This resort is fairly flat and open, making it ideal for beginners but also for riders who love playing in the park all day. The resort boasts one of Japan’s premier snowboard parks (second only to ALTS in Bandai) and is constantly evolving as it is re-designed each year by a team of local pro snowboarders. The multiple parks include slopestyle elements as well as rails, kickers, spines, boxes to wire your tricks on and a half pipe.
